Netflix · 2019 · Content Producer

I spent a year working with Netflix to help bring structure and consistency to its in-house content production and social output.

My role focused on establishing clearer workflows for how external production partners delivered marketing materials, including press junket footage, interviews and exclusive content. I developed best-practice guidance to improve quality, consistency and usability across teams, helping ensure content could be repurposed efficiently across platforms.

Alongside this, I joined the social media team during a period of growth, supporting its evolution into a more strategic content function. The focus was on foregrounding British television and film across Netflix’s digital channels, shaping editorial approaches that balanced promotion with audience value.

I was particularly drawn to factual and hybrid content, producing behind-the-scenes films, explainers and deeper editorial pieces that helped audiences engage more meaningfully with scripted titles. This included work around shows such as Black Mirror and The Dark Crystal, where the aim was to bridge fiction and non-fiction storytelling in a way that felt informative, considered and culturally relevant.
